Pilsen vibrantly continues growing and changing its landscape culturally and socially with its newer residents! The Mexican-American population still have a bigger influence in the area, bringing some of the great traditions of the motherland like religion, special celebrations, art, and music, including some of the best gastronomy in the world with the most delicious spices and condiments.

The Cruz family has brought to this community their recipes, mom and grandma “secret ingredients” that enhances the flavor of every Mexican dish that is prepared in El Mezquite’s kitchen! With a flavorful selection of “worth waking up” breakfasts, “happy belly” lunches and “mouthwatering” dinners to satisfy the most selective mouths

El Mezquite concept of “street food” and “open-air market” within a restaurant ambience makes this place a favorite of the community with traditional tacos made to perfection with up to 21 different choices of meats and delicacies like sesos (beef brains) tripas (beef tripe) cabeza (beef head) chorizo (Mexican sausage) and chicharron (pork skins) which they are incredibly tasty!!
